House No.3
Fiona Packham is the Housemistress of No.3. She has two children (aged 25 and 9). She is married to Keith Packham, Malvern College’s Director of Drama and has been at Malvern since September 2006. Fiona teaches Chemistry throughout the school and admits to finding the contrast between running the House and teaching in a Chemistry laboratory invigorating.
She says, “No.3 has a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Each girl is encouraged to seize every opportunity that comes her way and to make the most of her innate talents. It is a happy and sociable House where teamwork is extremely important. The girls are lively and full of fun, but during the examination season there is a clear feeling of focus”.
Girls' Football Fantastic Four
Thursday 09. of February 2012

Four of our girls have been invited to join the South-West of England Independent Schools Under 18 Football squad.
After performing very well in trials held in January, Gabi Bellairs-Lombard (EH), Sarah Laouiti (No.6) and Olivia Barnes (No.3) have been selected to play for the South-West of England Independent Schools U18 Football team. They will take part in an inter-regional tournament, against the three other regions, at Marlborough, on 18th March.
In addition, Josephine Steiskal (No.6), although only in the Remove, has been invited to attend the South-West of England training sessions in preparation for next season, as she is currently too young to play at Under 18 level. A national independent schools squad will be formed next season to participate in international fixtures.
House Drama Competition Success
Monday 06. of February 2012
We are pleased to announce that No.3 have been announced as the winners of the Malvern College House Drama Competition 2012. The girls are so excited to have been given this accolade and we are proud of them all.
The judges commented on the slick presentation, comedic moments, superb acting and characterisation; noting that all of this will have come from some clear direction from Alys and Belle. It was also announced that Susannah was highly commended for her portrayal of 'Victor' - effectively meaning that she was second in the running for the 'Best Actress' prize! We also wish to mention the scenes between Abi and Natalie, playing Kitty and her boyfriend Jake. Both girls acted superbly showing very real emotion and humour in scenes with both opened and ended the play.
The whole House enjoyed seeing the production and it was clear that the enthusiasm of the whole cast and crew, and the camaraderie between them all, was what helped to make the production such a success.
